New Blended Online Course

New Blended Online Course

October is Mental Health Month and what better way to recognise it than becoming a Mental Health First Aider.

Mental Health First Aid gives the participants the tools to identify and then support a friend or family member if becoming unwell or in crisis.

The program is run online with 5-6 hours self paced online education and 2 x 2.5 hours virtual workshop with the Man Anchor team on the 20th & 27th of October from 6:30pm. On successful completion you will receive a 3 year qualification in Mental Health First Aid.

Waves of Wellness

Waves of Wellness

This October Man Anchor and I will be partnering and supporting the unbelievable work that Waves of Wellness Foundation does within coastal communities supporting positive mental health with surf therapy. During the month of October I will be aiming to surf everyday no matter what the conditions or what I have on.
Now this may not seem like a challenge for many as it’s an everyday occurrence for a lot of surfers but unfortunately for me balancing family, a full time job and my work with Man Anchor can see my time in the water diminish very quickly, so as much as this is about supporting WOW and their important work, it is about supporting my personal heath and wellbeing with a little bit of self care.
If you would like to challenge yourself and join me in surfing throughout October please sign up or if you would like to donate it would be greatly appreciated.

Ducktober “Board Meeting”

Ducktober “Board Meeting”

I couldn’t think of a more positive way to kick off Mental Health Month than hitting the water in support of the surf therapy organisation @foundationwow and the “Board Meeting” launch for Ducktober. With the support of Ducktober sponsor @sabastyle we all hit the water for the “Board Meeting” in style.

What’s #wowducktober ? It’s an opportunity to support positive mental health and self care while raising vital funds to support the life changing work that the WOW team does on our beaches.

For the month of October we are challenging you to hit the water every day for a swim, surf or even take a cold shower. To join feel free to follow the link in our bio or if you would like to support the Man Anchor fundraising for WOW you will be able to donate via the link in the bio.🙏🏻

Congratulations on a fantastic launch @joelpilgrim @adamjohnbarringer @justinejat888 and the entire WOW Team, Man Anchor is really excited to be a partner in the great event.

Meet Paladin Sports

Meet Paladin Sports

Man Anchor is excited to be joining the Paladin Sports family, an organisation that has a genuine community focus. This partnership will help drive community awareness and education which are the two pillars for positive change, helping to remove perceived stigmas and barriers and ultimately reducing suicide in our community.
Together we hope to engage, educate and empower sporting clubs to build a positive and proactive culture around mental health both on and off the field/court. This program will be rolled out across Australia & New Zealand across all sporting codes both Male and Female.
Tim Morris, CEO of Paladin Sports says “the power of a simple conversation could potentially save a life and partnering with Man Anchor will help us to empower individuals in our Paladin family clubs with the tools needed to reach their local communities”.
A big thank you to Tim and the team for being so welcoming, this is a fantastic opportunity to share the Man Anchor story.

Man Anchor is excited to be partnering with Sanitation Zone to support positive mental health during COVID. The Man Anchor hand sanitiser unit has been designed to make people stop and think about a few positive strategies to support their own mental health and the people around them.
