Teen Mental Health First Aid

Teen Mental Health First Aid

Today was a special day as we added Teen Mental Health First Aid to the Man Anchor program portfolio. The program is designed to empower teens (years 7-9 & 10-12) with the tools to support positive mental health and provide an action plan for times of crisis. This program in my opinion is vital in the fight to reduce youth suicide rate across our country support generational change in the way we address mental health.

A big thank you to @beyondlimitslearningclinic for the unbelievable guidance and training. I would also like to acknowledge and thank the other participants which were all from regional areas across NSW.

Randwick Mental Health Initiative

This week I had the pleasure of meeting Danny Said Mayor of Randwick as part of the mental health initiative MH 360 and partnership with Surfing NSW. Danny’s genuine passion for the mental wellbeing of the people of Randwick City Council was clear and we are super excited to be working with him and the community of Randwick.

Workshops Now Online!

Workshops Now Online!

Man Anchor courses and workshops are now available on-line

Man Anchor is excited to share that our programs are now available on an online platform. Like most we have had to adapt to COVID-19 so we have been busy testing over the last few weeks working to create a safe and educational space for our virtual workshops.

We are looking for community groups, sporting teams as well as small and large businesses to take part in our 1 hour #letstalk workshop. The workshop is a really relaxed introduction to mental health. The workshop is the perfect opportunity to get the team together and kickstart positive conversation around mental health.

So if you would like to get your team together feel free to get in contact via here or email steven@mananchor.com.au or tag a friend and let’s start the conversation around mental health together. ⚓️

We are excited about our upcoming Man Anchor #letstalk workshop. The workshops are a relaxed look at the importance of men talking about Men’s Health and in particular Mental Health. I would like to thank our partners @furphybeer for their support in helping us kickstart conversation and create awareness in our community as we try to remove the perceived stigma that surrounds men talking about Men’s Health.
Also a shout out to our upcoming event partners and hosts @djbsurfboards @captainsipsops_manly @staygroundedcbc @thebeachclubcollaroy
